I'm starting the blog up again. The past year has been a whirlwind. I left Detroit Jan. 24, 2009 - spent two incredible months traveling Nicaragua solo. I returned to Detroit, tan and skinny and full of joy. And then I left again, a month and a half later and spent the summer in Aspen, Colorado. I fell in love with Rocky Mountain life - sunny, dry air and lots of outdoor activity in any season. Though Aspen is about as far from reality as one can get, and I left after four months to follow love and wound up in Bozeman, Montana. A living portrait of the west surrounded by pink and white painted purple mountains. So, here I be.
Sometimes I can't imagine ever going back to where I grew up. Other times, it's all I want. I have my experiences, and I have the shadow of my perception of them. I have the desire to settle down, and I have the desire to keep moving. I'm about to turn 27, and I'm reevaluating once again. Because you see, I can't just "be." I'm a seeker and there is so much to see.
So, where do I begin?
That's the next post.

and finally, Montana. She speaks for herself.

Great to see you're travelling the old west. Before you leave Bozeman, say hi to Jason Leppi for me. He's another Michigan casualty who refuses to leave the mountains for urban sprawl and attitude pollution. I think he's a climbing instructor for MMA (montana mountaineering association)? Good luck on your adventures!
